November 1, 2014
I am Sheri Young, Chair of the Department of Psychological Science at John Carroll University, writing with a reminder that membership dues for the 29th Annual Ohio Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference (OUPRC) are due for the 2014 – 2015 academic year. If you have not paid dues for the current year, or have not traditionally been a member of the consortium, we ask that you consider participating this year.
The OUPRC has traditionally provided students who are interested in graduate level study, or who are interested in careers in research settings, with the opportunity to present their work to a supportive and constructively critical group of faculty and students. The conference has been a “safe haven” for scholars-in-training to share their research. Students who are presenting their work at other conferences, namely the Midwestern Psychological Association (M.P.A.) conference, often attend OUPRC to practice their presentations, first.
M.P.A. begins Thursday, April 30, 2015. The 29th annual OUPRC will be held on Saturday, April 18th here at John Carroll University. Dr. John Yost is the contact person for the conference.
